Curriculum Vitae December, 2006
Work Experience
- Q42, The Hague, The Netherlands
- Yes2web, Delft, the Netherlands
- April 2005 to March 2006
- Yes2web was a small student-founded company that I joined to develop a community-driven portal application as part of my final college thesis. Although the project never launched, I decided to remain employed by the company for 9 months after my project was complete in order to gain experience working in a constrained environment whose improved flexibility was offset by budgetary limitations and shortened development processes.
- Impuls IT, Dordrecht, the Netherlands
- July 2003 to December 2003
- I worked here as an intern at the web development branch. My responsibilities were few but the variety of my tasks more than made up for it; constructing websites using the company's licensed web development software Site Supra, as well as instructing fellow employees as to the relevance and benefits of standards-based web design practices. I also developed the identity and website for the company's new product, Codeless, which you can see in my portfolio.

Software Expertise
The prospect of having access to a multitude of commercial resources from competing companies as well as the open-source community and its many modern applications means that developing a skillset within the reach of today's Internet is significantly less daunting a task than would have been a decade ago. Here's a short overview of my experential acquisitions in this field, as well as my optionally viewable thoughts on each product.

Programming Language Expertise
I first started trying to figure out how internet (server-side) scripting and programming worked when I first needed it for one of my own projects. Now that I've passed through college, I understand the basic syntaxes of several languages and have mastered PHP. The following list is useful in determining which languages I am merely familiar with, and which I have applied in a multitude of projects and environments to this day.
