CSS Zen Garden: Blue Sun
Developed as part of the CSS Zen Garden publically accessible overview of what style sheets can do for design, the Blue Sun style sheet sticks a cool/warm contrast to the zen garden HTML.
The CSS Zen Garden is an open gallery that presents designers with a HTML file and the option to change its presentation using a stylesheet they develop themselves. In many ways, it's a challenge to apply stylesheets and deliver the most unique design you as a designer can provide. Unfortunately my design was too alternative to be featured on the main gallery, but nevertheless it has been included in the "conceptual" category, viewable to thousands.
In my case, I had not seen any applications of stylesheets on the CSS Zen Garden design that correctly illustrated how one could technically style a webpage for use as desktop wallpaper. This would necessitate the usual requirement of a high resolution photograph or other large image to be placed in the background, and then the correct placing and colouring of text on top of the image to allow for ease of use and clarity. So I made Blue Sun, which is an Indian-themed design overlayed on a photograph of the Indian Ocean that my father took several years ago when he was there.
